THE curtains go up on Singapore’s MOD DAC 2012 event on Saturday, and there to soothe the ears of audiophiles will be Winnie Ho, Malaysia’s Chinese jazz nightingale who’s quickly earning herself a bit of a reputation. And a pretty good one at that, we’d like to add.
Fresh from her appearance at the recent Tianjin Jazz Festival in China, Ho will be rendering songs from her popular album, The Jazzy Sounds of Teresa Teng, while promoting the Definitive Audiophile Edition version to audiophiles at the show.
The album went down well at recent hi-fi and AV shows in Kuala Lumpur and Taiwan, and Singapore distributor S2S Music is hoping to capitalise on its aim of expanding its Chinese repertoire in a strategic partnership with pop pop music, the album’s label.
Ho will be performing at 3pm and 5pm on both days of the exhibition that is being held at Level 4 of the Raffles City Convention Centre on Aug 25/26.
MOD DAC 2012 will feature computer audio, high-end audio, headphones and projectors. The event is organised by MODAVI Pvt Ltd, which also publishes the MOD AV magazine.
Showtimes are 10am to 8pm and admission is free. Get to MOD DAC’s site or Facebook page for exhibitor details and the latest updates.
