ANOTHER year of the Kuala Lumpur International AV Show (July 3-5), and despite the run-up of gloomy events in the past months – the economic climate, the controversial Goods and Services Tax (GST), the slide of the local currency – there was a sense that business had to go on, no matter what.
So there still was some pretty bombastic gear on display, like Naim’s Statement amplification system, a revival of the Apogee ribbon speaker legacy, more than a spattering of headfi and personal audio gear (which is very encouraging), a significant number of turntables, lots of big amps and exotic speakers, the occasional CD player and more computer-audio related sources than obvious previously.
Here’s a gallery of photos from KLIAV 2015, have fun browsing.
