NEED to fix your hi-fi and home theatre cravings? What better way to get your right dose of the latest and greatest gear than at the Kuala Lumpur International AV (KLIAV) Show 2012, to be held at the JW Marriott from July 20-22.
The 19th iteration of the show promises to give visitors a sampler of the exciting months ahead, as Malaysian (and some Singaporean) distributors display their best wares. Of course, those shopping for bargains – hardware, software and accessories – will find much at the show to keep them occupied.
A number of manufacturer representatives will be present as well, including Aurelie Gonzalo of Triangle, Frank Denson of Well Tempered Labs, Mario Binner of Audio Note (UK), Angsar Sperling and Michael Bonninghoff of Sperling Audio, Todd Garfinkel of MA Recordings, Gao Longyi of Dared, Bosko Pjescic and Adrijan Sabolcki of Beyond Frontier Audio and Bartholomeo Nasta of Opera Speakers. So if you’re looking for insights into the design, manufacturer and philosophy of the audio hardware game, these are the people to meet.
Paying visitors (the entry fee is RM10) will get a complimentary door gift – a copy of the show’s Limited Edition Commemorative CD, carefully put together by Joseph Ki, architect, music lover and local audiophile legend, and founder of the homegrown LS3/5A club. Tracks for the CD were sourced from the highest possible resolution master before being down-sampled to 16-bit/44.1kHz Redbook CD standard.
