Singapore’s MOD DAC 2012 promises an exciting experience

August 9, 2012 Written by Editor

HERE’S something to keep modern audiophiles (and not necessarily just young ones) interested – coming up later in August is Singapore’s MOD DAC 2012 show, which will feature computer audio, high-end audio, headphones and projectors. Just nice for a wholly immersive experience, we reckon!

According to organiser MODAVI Pvt Ltd, which also publishes the MOD AV magazine, this year’s theme for the annual event is ‘I see, I hear, therefore I am’. The classical dissertation on logic aside, visitors can expect to experience the very best in high-end audio equipment, while stepping into new frontiers of computer audio.

Those who seek a little more privacy and/or aspire to bring the cinema home can indulge in a variety of headphone and projector exhibits and demos.

Big screens of 100-inches and more have been promised, while a projector shootout is being organised to showcase the latest technologies in this field.

If you want a more immediate sonic experience, there will be a range of cans on display, including rare, limited edition ones.

The show, on Aug 25-26, will be held at Level 4 of the Raffles City Convention Centre, from 10am to 8pm. Admission is free. Get to MOD DAC’s site or Facebook page for exhibitor details and regular updates.
