Audio Analogue Puccini Anniversary… a special edition

February 18, 2016 Written by Editor

THERE are fads and there are classics, but the Puccini integrated amplifier definitely falls into the latter category. Twenty years after the release of the product that put Audio Analogue on the high-end audio map, the Italian manufacturer is celebrating the occasion with a special anniversary edition of the classic amplifier – enter the Puccini Anniversary zero feedback integrated amplifier.

The brief was to create another classic – a landmark product of such distinction that would pave the way to Audio Analogue’s future. To achieve this, the company made the bold decision to stick to a zero feedback design, which when well-implemented, results in superlative clarity, detail, and soundstaging for a more musical, realistic presentation.

A fully dual-mono design, the Puccini Anniversary employs an oversized 700VA transformer, giving it the ability to deliver 80W into eight ohms (and up to 300W into two ohms), which makes it able to drive the most difficult of loads.

Solid 7N OCC copper wiring along with gold-plated pure copper binding posts are used and its gold-plated pure copper RCA sockets are soldered directly onto the input circuit board. Separate boards are used for each amplifier stage, with gold-plated pure copper tracks double the thickness usually used.

The cost of joining in this particular birthday celebration is a mere £2,999.
