THERE’S no holding back when CH Precision designs a product, and the Swiss company’s latest offering is no different – the twin-chassis C10 is the first digital-to-analogue converter in the flagship “10” collection.
The purist, high-performance DAC – no volume control or analogue inputs – has a massive, dedicated, ultra-low noise power supply in its second chassis. The mirror-topology features four discrete, galvanically isolated “power zones”, each having a dedicated highly regulated DC supply.
The all-new DSQ Phase Array DAC architecture uses “16x PCM-1704 R2R DAC chips with substantial DSP, sequential processing that delivers a sample rate of 64x Fs (2.8224/3.072MHz), and third order Sallen-Key Bessel low-pass filter to reduce 20Hz-20kHz propagation delay to less than two femtoseconds,” according to the company.

“One unexpected bonus of the C10’s complex power distribution and segmented power supply is that the upgrade path to C10 Mono is considerably simpler: just add a second C10 power supply.”
The C10 accommodates native DSD, MQA and high-resolution PCM, and has configurable inputs. Three output levels are provided – 1, 2.5 or 5V.

It also incorporates the improved mechanical grounding system employed on the other 10 Series products and is available in the same choice of three different finishes.
“The C10 can be matched to any digital source and any high-performance pre-amplifier. You can even order the T1 Time Reference master clock in matching 10 Series casework – designated the T10.”
The C10’s pricing starts at US$91,000/€91,000 for the “basic” two-box version.
