Roksan connections

June 10, 2012 Written by Editor

THE Roksan range, already extensive as it is, welcomes new additions – yes, stuff you can use to hook up bits and pieces of hi-fi gear together. The company already has speaker cables, and is now offering high-definition interconnects, in guise of the HDC-01D digital coaxial and HDC-03A interconnects.

The 01D is constructed using a solid copper inner conductor, aluminium polyester tape for maximum shielding and tinned copper drain wires for even grounding. The BNC connectors have a gold-plated centre pin, which optimises signal transfer, while the contact points are airtight to ensure minimum or no deterioration over time.

The 03A has four conductors of low noise oxygen-free copper, twisted and wrapped with a cotton filler and paper separator to reduce electrostatic build up. Each conductor is constructed of 40 strands of 0.1mm diameter of high-purity copper, while the outer shield braid has 128 strands of 0.1mm tinned copper. This is covered with a PVC/Neoprene sleeve to ensure durability. The RCA plugs are a proprietary design.

Just what owners of all-Roksan system need, right?
