SVS Sound goes Prime

October 19, 2014 Written by Editor

SVS Sound steps up its assault on the home theatre arena with the recently-launched Prime series, incorporating audiophile sensibilities in a dynamic design. The company claims the Prime line of speakers defies convention and brings high-end audio prices to new lows.

Based on the critically-acclaimed and award-winning Ultra range, the Prime line is “designed to overcome the audio limitations of dual-purpose living/listening spaces.”

The black piano-finish range comprises the Prime Tower (US$499.99 a piece), Bookshelf (US$249.99), Center (US$349.99) and Satellite (134.99). The Satellite is also offered in 2.1 and 5.1 configurations with SVS acclaimed SB-1000 subwoofer, priced respectively at US$699.99 and US$999.99.

You can order these new products now, shipping is expected to begin end-October.

SVS has also launched the cylindrical PC-2000 subwoofer (US$799.99), featuring an all-new 500 watt amplifier and a down-firing 12-inch driver in a refreshed and modern style.

A step-up from its predecessors, it has a compact 16.5-inch footprint and integrated SoundPath Isolation System, which decouples the subwoofer from the floor to deliver cleaner and tighter low-frequency thrills.

The PC-2000 has a premium black-knit speaker grille cloth cylinder covering, and an interchangeable top cap available in black ash and black piano gloss finish. It will ship late November.
