Wadia m330 media server… all you need

February 8, 2015 Written by Editor

WADIA has been on a roll of late with a range of new products to keep audiophiles keen – latest in the line is the m330 media server, which lets you access all your locally stored and Internet-based music without fuss.

There’s a 1TB internal hard drive for storage, along with USB inputs (two USB 2.0 and 3.0 each, with one USB audio output) and an eSata port for expansion should your music collection be that extensive. Resolution is up to 24-bit/192kHz.

The m330, which is a full-size component weighing a bit over 11kg, also allows hook-up via its Ethernet port to streaming services such as Pandora, SiriusXM, Spotify, Rhapsody, TIDAL and TuneIn. A HDMI input is provided for graphic user interface

The state-of-the-art solid state hard drive is host to the operating system and music player for fast response times. The m330 can be controlled via iOS or Android apps, a web browser, or a remote control. It is also compatible with popular home automation systems for easy integration.

A pair each of analogue outputs – RCA and XLR – is provided, and there are also coaxial and optical digital outputs for connection to something like the recently launched 321 decoding computer (okay, DAC).
