It’s here – KLIAV Show 2015, July 3-5

July 1, 2015 Written by Editor

MALAYSIA’S annual home theatre and hi-fi show is just around the corner, and the big pitch this year is Dolby Atmos. No doubt, many home theatre enthusiasts will be eager to sample this new surround experience firsthand, and the Kuala Lumpur International AV (KLIAV) Show 2015 is just the place to learn all about Dolby Atmos.

Of course, you can also expect a sonic smorgasbord of high-end hi-fi products from the world over offered by Malaysian distributors, along with a range of many things audio. Turntables, headfi, amps, speakers, software… everything you’d expect to find at an AV show like this. Lots of CDs, LPs and audio/AV knickknacks will be on sale, too.

Paying visitors will receive a free copy of the 4th Edition Audiophile Commemorative CD and a RM5 BHPetrol voucher with each ticket.

A special guest at the show will be Todd Garfinkle, the founder of Japan-based MA Recordings, known for its high-quality, minimal processing recordings – two tracks from the label’s Prayers Wishes Illusions album (a live recording by Garfinkle in 1987, using just two microphones) have been included in the show CD.

The KLIAV Show 2015, organised by 3dotevents, will be held as usual at the JW Marriott (183, Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur).

Show time is 10am to 7.30pm, Friday to Sunday, tickets are RM10 per entry (subjected to 6% GST).
