Nasotec lends Swing to your vinyl playback

August 19, 2016 1 Comment Written by The Editor

WANT to add some swing to your grooves? Then you need to get yourself the Nasotec Swing Headshell. But what is this exactly?

As its name implies, it is a headshell – but one which allows a spring-controlled, side-to-side swinging motion as you play your records!

Swing headshell-1

This is possible with a hinge-like joint incorporated into the headshell itself. The result, claims Nasotec, is superior tracking ability and immediate dissipation of tonearm resonance.

It also says that its improved tracking ability helps to significantly eliminate distortion when playing the inner and outer grooves of a record.

According to the company,  when doing a comparison test of tonearm resonance, “we could find the arm equipped with Swing Headshell is much superior to any other
common type of arm existing at present for the tonearm resonance.”

As a bonus, the swing mechanism also extends stylus life by reducing wear and tear due to uneven pressure on any one side of the stylus.
