Lenco LBT-335BA turntable… bamboo and Bluetooth

FANCY some bamboo in your stereo system? If you’re a vinyl enthusiast, Lenco’s belt-driven LBT-335BA turntable should fit the bill – it comes with a plinth made from FSC-certified bamboo.

Bamboo, among the fastest-growing plants, is known for its environmentally friendly properties. And sonically, Lenco says it chose bamboo as the primary material for the LBT-335BA’s housing as it “not only imparts a unique and warm aesthetic to the record player, but also offers robust and sustainable protection”.

“In addition to its eco-friendly character, bamboo also provides excellent acoustic properties, and its natural resonance contributes to the clarity and warmth of the played sound.”

Bamboo plinth apart, the turntable comes with an Ortofon 2M Red cartridge mounted on the custom carbon fibre tonearm, a cork slip mat and USB output to facilitate vinyl-to-digital conversion to either PC or Mac… and has Bluetooth capability.

The “built-in switchable phono stage allows any active speaker to be used and the Bluetooth 5.2 connection means any Bluetooth speaker or headphones can be used for wireless convenience”.

The Lenco LBT-335BA is priced at £429/€449.

Lenco is also offering, at £99/€9, the 12-in-one TTA-12IN1PRO turntable/vinyl care package, comprising antistatic record brush, stylus force gauge, cartridge azimuth and VTA protractor, cartridge alignment protractor, four small spirit levels, cartridge/stylus installation tweezers for headshell, 45RPM adapter, and other odds and ends.
