Isotek’s new power play… the EVO3 Genesis One

March 6, 2017 Leave a Comment Written by The Editor

AUDIOPHILES are on a continuous quest for cleaner and better-regulated power supply from the mains, and UK’s Isotek has been among the leading names assisting in this mission. The company, which already has a variety of power products in its line-up, now offers the Mosaic series EVO3 Genesis One.

Isotek describes it as a “state-of-the-art, single cell sine-wave generation system with extremely low THD.”

It features one outlet and is designed to work with front-end source component. Multiple Mosaic series units (up to six in total) can be combined using an IsoTek linking cable so that only one mains power cable is required.

The Genesis One is housed in an extruded and machined aluminium chassis (75 x 125 x 470mm, w/h/d and 10kg in weight) with optional fully-functional display showing incoming voltage, THD and mains frequency, and outgoing voltage, THD and power consumption.

It is suited to all audio and AV applications, and claims to removes both common mode and differential mode mains noise.

According to the literature, the key features are “a dedicated single outlet that delivers totally clean low distortion reconstructed mains sine wave; unique single cell mains sine wave generation system exceeding 85dB of noise reduction extending to zero hertz running in class D amplification with a linear power supply; 100W of totally clean power for all front-end components; and internal wiring comprising solid-core silver-plated PCOCC with FEP dielectric.”

It is available now in UK, EU, US, ZA, Australian and Swiss specifications. Priced at £1,995 (£2,495 with the optional display), it is supplied with IsoTek’s award-winning Premier power cable.
