August 4, 2023 Leave a Comment Written by The Editor

DESKTOP amplifiers for audiophiles, gamers and casual users are getting to be increasingly popular if they come with the right cred. And AudioEngine has just upped the game with its N22 integrated amp, now in the second iteration.

According to the company, the easy-to-use N22 “drives a wide range of speakers (and headphones) with authority and features a number of inputs (Bluetooth, USB-C and dual analogue) to seamlessly integrate your music sources with your speakers.”

Just add AudioEngine’s P4 or any other compact passive speaker that isn’t too hungry for power.

This stereo amp’s versatile connectivity includes a subwoofer output to add some deep notes to music played from your phone, computer, turntable or streamer. Yes, it’s a high-quality mini-hifi system on your desk, once you set it up right.

The Class D N22 is rated at 50 ohms per channel into six ohm loads. It’s a mere 1.6kg in weight, and sports satin black finish.

The retail price on the N22 is US$269.
