Audience takes the ONE and 1+1 speakers to the next level

August 29, 2018 2 Comments Written by The Editor

THE legendary Audience loudspeakers, the ONE and the 1+1, have been updated for their third iteration. Both the ONE V3 and 1+1 V3 feature “the best of the previous V2+ versions in addition to some great new technologies.”

Improved voice coil technology is at the heart of these V3 models. According to the company, “the V3 voice coil provides faster rise time and greater control of the driver. Additionally, the V3 loudspeaker internal wiring includes metallurgic improvements represented in the wiring of the new Audience flagship frontRow cables.”

Audience claims the improvements in the new models are not subtle but heard in every aspect of the performance – greater resolution and a quieter background, leading to a “dramatically more palpable and tonally rich presentation.” Dynamics and sound staging are also improved.

“The combination of these new features is not just an upgrade… it warrants a whole new model version,” the company assures.

The ONE V3 retails at US$1,695 a pair and the 1+1 V3 at US$2,960. V3 Upgrades to the previous ONE V2+ and 1+1 V2+ OC speakers will cost $300 and $500 respectively.”

Upgraded The One from V2 to V2+ a few months back. And now they announced this V3! I’m both excited and a little pissed at myself for not waiting a little. The One’s are really something.
