Rest your headphones… with the TrueStand

February 1, 2021 1 Comment Written by The Editor

HERE’S an alternative to headphone hangers – a receptacle that looks a bit like a miniature bathtub! A UK company called Neederland LTD has launched a Kickstarter drive for its TrueStand unibody headphone stand that takes a different approach to headphone storage.

According to the company press release, the TrueStand is “designed to let your headphones sit in a soft insert instead of hanging”.

“The TrueStand stands out in terms of looks. With the use of high-quality materials, it can fit nicely into the surrounding on a desk or in a living room.

“The enclosure is made from CNC-machined aluminium or carbon fibre and the durable foam insert ensures that headphones can rest without any scratches or a headband compression.”

The design, we’re informed, was inspired by nature.

“We enhanced the natural peanut shape and implemented it into our foam. Two conical frustums inscribed in lemniscate increase the contact surface area.”

The TrueStand costs £59 for the aluminium edition and £79 for the carbon fibre option. You can go to their Kickstarter page if you want in on this.

Headphones with cable and most big high end headphones won’t fit. Useless for most headphone users
