Node SS-1 – revolutionising equipment support

THEY may look like your everyday footers but the Node SS-1 support system is a lot more than that.
Designed and manufactured in the UK, the SS-1 or “Support System 1” isn’t just about isolation.

Each “puck” is made up of a combination of stainless steel, ceramics and polymers, which Node says “work in unison to limit, control and capture micro-vibrations and stray magnetic fields from electronic equipment like transformers, power conditioners, connection blocks, power supplies, streamers, DACs and amplifiers.”

Each puck has a pivoting head to allow optimal contact to the underside of each piece of equipment to provide maximum energy transfer. When optimally positioned under the components’ internals, like transformers, clocks, capacitors and transport mechanisms, Node claims it not only drains vibrations but also “focuses stray magnetic fields that may otherwise leech across other internals.”

The SS-1, with a screw thread base, can be used in a myriad of situations. With the appropriate attachment, it can be used as spider rack brackets, carpet spikes or even cable risers – and there’s more functionality planned for the future!

Prices start from £810.00 per set of three (£1,080 for four), while attachments range from £393 (spider rack mounts, set of four) and £393 (carpet spikes, set of four) all the way up to £1,670 (cable supports, set of six).
