BLOOM – another audiophile offering from pop pop

August 1, 2013 Written by Editor

MALAYSIA’S only audiophile label pop pop music, which specialises in Chinese jazz, comes out with its first compilation album, which takes a cue from the familiar Audiophile Female Voices series.

Bloom Vol 1, launched this week, features stalwarts like Tay Cher Siang, Winnie Ho, Serena Chong (from the in-house 2V1G), Z Yan (Bossa Princess) and Lydia Chew (JZ8), along with acoustic guitar maestro Roger Wang.

Pop pop offerings have gone down pretty well in the regional market, chalking up impressive numbers for such niche products. Regular performances by the artistes have not harmed the label’s profile either.

This compilation was mastered by Hong Kong’s leading audiophile engineer Kent Poon to ensure a level of sonic quality expected of the genre.

The regional distributors for the album are InterGlobal Music (Malaysia), Joy Audio (Taiwan), More Music (Hong Kong) and S2S (Singapore).
